Maybe I'm more conherent this time

I think I slept thru every other words a few minutes ago. I had to delete that post.

So here goes...all last week after trying to return to work since my revision...I felt worse as each day went by.  Fever, achy, sick at the stomach and I had lots of pain in the mid lower part of my abdomen.  I thought it was constipation since I'd only gone twice in a 3 week period.  Anyway I ended up in ER Friday...Once they figured the symptons had nothing to do with my revision...I had a CT to check my appendix.  Two 16 oz cups or contract so it's not my appendix, it is a large absess in the wall of my abodmen wall..By now I've heard...just a tiny stick 16 times or more...the first 7 times were trying to get an IV started, the other were to draw blood because my IV site would not lend any blood.....sigh....so the Dr.wants to put a drain in, and oh by the way, you're full of contrast stuff and your potassium is dangerourly low, too low to be put under while he jabs this drainige tube into the worst pain Ive ever felt, and then put in 2 stitches to hold it in place. 

So I spent my weekend in the hospital, guess i was not really ready to go back to work.

sorry you had such a basd week leading to a worst weekend.  Hope things are getting better.  I hope you are feeling better.  Good luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery.  I will keep you in my prayers.

Did they say where the abcess on your abdominal wall came from?

Thank you for your prayers.  It's really a seroma, the radiologist kept referring to it as abscess. I went in for a follow up today, and I get to keep monsterious drain bag/tube for a while.  If it does not drain completely or if the antiobiotics don't clear up the infection, my only other option is for Dr. A is to open it up and let it heal on it's own.  That would mean cleaning and packing it twice a day until it closes and I've been there and done that, so this bag can stay in for a month for all I care....My babies Ozzy and Shadow (chihuahuas) keep looking at the bag sideways and sniffing the drainage tube.

You could not just go to the hospital and get a revision could you?

You had to go all out and come back home with extra stuff.

Dang.

I hate that you are going through all of this.

I know you want to get back to work, but if your body is not ready it just ain't ready.

Sorry to be so blunt, but that is sooooo real.

Work will be waiting for you when you are healthy.
