Hello,

I have not lost all the weight my Dr. and I expected, am having RNY on the 27th of October 2009.  My original surgery was Feb.2008 with VSG and lost 71lbs, looking to loose another 60lbs-

Any suggestions, comments, recommendations, Anything????

Thanks,

If you've already got one half of the DS by having a sleeve, have you considered having the other half and having the full DS now?

Converting to proximal RNY is only a different form of restriction, having DS adds malabsorbtion to the equation as well.

the DS seems like the logical revision to me, too. Does your doc perform the DS? If he or she doesn't, they won't have discussed this option with you. Or... if they *did* discuss the option, you may have received outdated or inaccurate information. Please research on your own and make your own, informed health decisions. You'll likely live with this revision for the rest of your life. Make sure you're informed.

A coulple of Web sites that you might find helpful:

dsfacts.com
duodenalswitch.com

Regardless of what you do, good luck to you!

Have you considered the Duodenal Switch? Information is power.
