Hi,

I had gastric bypass 10 years ago and have gained back a good portion of my food.  I can eat like a normal person and am so distraught over my failure.  I am going to attempt to see if Blue Cross will cover the revision.  Any comments are most welcome and appreciated.

God Bless,

Every insurance plan is different.  You will need to contact your insurance company.  If you have your benefits booklet.... look through that and see as well.

Research your options on revision.  Everyone is different, and makes choices based on their life & lifestyle.

**Just an FYI, if you research & decide which one to have... and your insurance says "It is experimental" and denies WHAT YOU WANT... blah, blah, blah..... Fight them!!!  You CAN WIN!!!**
~~~There are people that have had this happen, and had the denial overturned~~~
Keep asking Questions!!!!!
God Bless,
 I have BCBS and they covered my revision to ERNY.
Have you had an upper GI and Endoscopy done to check the condition of your pouch and stoma?  Your PCP can order this.  It may help you with your insurance approval.
You are NOT a failure.  It is a high possibility that your surgery failed you.  Please don't be so hard on yourself.  Take the bull by the horns and GO FOR IT!
There are many options for revision.  I would recommend that you do your research on all of them and choose the one that best fits you and your lifestyle.
Good Luck!
