Help! Any advice on pouch size.
Hello friends!
I had lapband surgery in 07 and it was removed 6 mos. later because it slipped and caused extreme swelling of my stomach. I went ahead with the gastric bypass surgery in September 08. Although my total weight loss is 110 pounds, I still have approx. 30-40 pounds more to my goal. I went to my surgeon today, and due to a stomach ulcer, my pouch has grown to 3.2 cm. He told me it has doubled in size. He is putting me in touch on a weekly basis with a nutritionist and would like to touch base with me again in October. He said if the additonal weight does not come off he can put the lapband over the bypass. Does anyone know anything about what our pouch size should be exactly? I do not want to have another surgery, especially since I have had 3 already (lapband, lapband removal, gastric bypass). Any advice would help!
