Finally Revised
Hello All~
Well I have finally been revised! I had RNY in 2005 and lost 160 lbs and started to slowly regain over time, up to 180. I went to a Dr and they did an upper GI and he told me it looked like the previous Dr did a mini bypass.... I opted to have it corrected to the 'regular' bypass.
Had surgery on the 3rd of Aug, and once they got in to me found that I did have the real RNY, however the intestine was looped up around the top, as they do with the mini bypass. The Dr's fixed that and also made my pouch and stoma smaller again.
I came home on the 4th and felt wonderful! Went out to 3 stores the on the 5th to do some shopping and really have felt great, like I never had surgery (thank God, cause that was sooo not the case in 05).
My question is, I have only lost 3 lbs since surgery (12 lbs total since the pre-op diet), I know as a 'revisoner' I will not lose as fast, but am curious as to what others have lost. I am not sure how small my pouch was made or how many cm's were bypassed, I am waiting for the Dr to call me back with the info.

Denise, WOW, that sure went quick for you!!! Congrats on being revised so quickly!!!
Unfortunately, I do not have any experience, since I am still a pre-op revisioner.... Hope someone can chime in soon with info on that for you.
