Marginal ulcer, revision choices are limited, out of area surgery

I have just begun to look at what my options will be for revision to correct a marginal ulcer ( 2nd one) and weight gain too. It looks like DS will be my only choice, please correct me if I am wrong. With so few surgeons doing this procedure how do I handle looking for a surgeon out of my area. I am in Amarillo now and so Dallas/ FW will probably be where I awill be looking for a surgeon. How does that work consult and  pre-op appointments and recovery . I cant afford to drive there to often. Any thoughts?
