Update
I get to start fighting the insurance battle. The insurance company feels like I am rushing into having the bypass so they want me to have the band removed and wait 3 months to have the bypass. They feel like I haven't been through the program so I need to start all over. My doctor hasn't been doing all of the weight loss related stuff because I need a revision because of a malfunction of the port and its causing me pain and not because the band failed to help me lose weight. Anyway I was denied so now I am going to put up a fight. Hopefully I will win eventually. Keep me in your prayers. I will keep you posted. In the meantime I have to deal with the port pain and the stress has caused my band to tighten up and I am vomiting everything I eat. I am keeping nothing down right now. I have an appointment with the surgeon on Wednesday so hopefully they will pull out some of the fluid so I can eat again. Hope you all have a great week.

Insurance sucks!!!!! Hoping that Wednesday's appointment brings you relief.
But, I sincerely hope you get some stress relief before then, so you can stop throwing up!!!!

Sorry Ginger, that does suck but I did it that way voluntarily and waited eight months whi*****luded a lot of weight gain! I also had to start all over again and go through a long drawn out psych eval and everything else that is requested prior to getting any WLS. Actually it was more involved than when I had my lap band installed in 2007! I had all my saline removed before my removal for a couple months also and there was still restriction. I hope you can at least get it removed soon. Good luck and keep us posted and keep on your surgeon and the insurance company! Nancy.
