I had RNY in 2003, did not lose much and gained back that pretty fast.  Now I am looking into DS and I am trying to find out if you know of ANYBODY that gained back their weight with the Duodenal Switch?  I don't think I want to be a failure twice in a row.  I have never been able to stick with a diet for long...I start out good and then keep slipping and getting into the goodies and you just can't do that and not be fat I guess.

There are a few RNY to DS'ers on here, and to date most have been successful, but you should really post this email to the DS site I think you will get a lot more response there...

I don't think there are a lot of long term stats for RNY to DS...beyond 5-7 years...

Good Luck...It is important to find out all you can...

I'm looking at a revision to the DS, but don't have the $$$ as of yet.

I have looked back through years of stuff here, and can't find any real failures with the DS. I can find problems, but they are very few compared to the band and RNY. The weight gains I've seen are minor. I think your looking in the right direction.
