I have hesitated to join you on this admirable endeavor cuz my food amounts might scare the bejeebies out of anyone thinking of an ERny.  But....even high calorie eaters like myself need accountability soooooo here goes:

Early morning:  Hot choc protein drink

1st B - 3 eggs with Mediterannean veggies

2nd B - 2 eggs with green chile salsa, cheese and a corn tortilla

1st lunch - fish, turkey & tofu from the AJ's hot food bar.

2nd lunch - rice with shrimp, stir fried peppers & mushrooms

1st supper - grilled burger wrapped in lettuce with tomatoe, pickle & cheese

2nd supper:  Lasagna in a Bowl:  Shirataki (tofu) noodles with s/f spaghetti sauce, grilled chicken slices, ricotta,  & mozzarella cheese.  Grilled zuchinni strips. 

Snack:  black cherries and cream cheese with dash of stevia & s/f cherry syrup (fabulous on a flax seed muffin!!!!)

Bedtime:  straw/banana frozen protein drink

I pretty much hang around 200 or more protein grams a day.

I have the same breakfast almost every morning with just variations on the veggies.
Protein drinks are repetitious so it's really just my dinners that I have to think about and try out new recipes. I LOVE finding yummy low carb recipes!  Do you have any tried and tested to share?

Hey Joyce, You do eat alot! I can't eat that much, so I started on protein shakes again.  They do make a difference! I am going to post another thread about that~thanks to you!

I do make my own tortilla strips and chips using low carb tortillas. the strips come out the *******so do the whole wheat ones for my DH. I don't like them as good, but they are not bad.  I try to re-create applebees southwest chix salad, and fajita nachos.

S- Yogurt and a few pretzels

S (after work) Subway sub.


Okay.. I need some advice. I ate very poorly today because I had to work and I was afraid I'd be on the toilet all day.. So I was anyways and I barely ate jack. I'm frustrated and not really sure what to do. My surgeon suggested I tried some fiber stuff you poor in your liquid and see if that helps. This wouldn't be a big deal except I can't be on the toilet all day at work and I'm a pretty private person. Anyone got any ideas? I feel like if i eat more I'm onthe toilet more.. so if I eat less I'm on the toilet less??

Are you using things with lactose?

It runs me all day long, so I have switched to soy, and it is better.

My shakes do the same, so I drink them at night.

D - Trader Joe's Spicy Flax Seed & Soy Tortilla Chips with LF Mexican Cheese Blend melted on top (fat girl nachos!  lol); 1% Cottage Cheese topped with Salsa Fresca & sqeeze of lime (used as a dip); Steamed Zucchini drizzled with Balsamic Vinegarette

OMG Joyce...they are HEAVEN...so good with the dip i make above or hummus or plain for that matter.  FULL of flavor and great nut stats too - 6g protein; 4g fiber; 3 net carbs; 140 calories!! Definitely a great "chip and dip" fix food.
