Menopause and weight gain

I have RNY in Aug 03 and was successful in losing over 100 lbs.  I maintained that weight loss (even though I would have liked to have lost another 50 or so****il this year.  I developed ulcers after my surgery and have had endless EGD's.  They say my pouch is stretched out but it has been for probably 3-4 yrs.  The problem is, I had a total hysterectomy  in Jul 08.  Everything went fine until Jan-Feb.  My appetite came back full force and I have put on almost 40 lbs!  I had my initial surgery at a VA hospital and it was the open surgery.  I am not sure I coul go through that again but I am getting depressed from the weight gain...eat more...endless cycle.  I am sure you get the picture.  But I am also sure I am not the only one this has happened to.  I would be interested in hearing from some of you who experienced this as well and if you had a revision (i.e. what kind?, same as 1st time or different?).

OK.....SO no one else has had this problem I take it (from the lack of replies)?
