Actually yes.. My surgeon called me today and explained it the best he could. It's a long limbed RNY. THey do refer to it as a BPD but it's somewhat different. It's something that has had great success and something my dr. thinks will work for me. I believe in him and I'm now comfortable with our choice.
I did talk to him about the DS but he didn't feel comfortable doing it.
Not a major major surgery and I should be back to work in a week. Or at least I'm planning on it.
