anyone with BCBS Fed insurance?

Mississippi is in progress of thinking of adding wls to their BCBS fed insurance! Jumping ahead of myself, I wanted to know what are their requirements for revisions or wls? 6 month diet, Psych eval??

Hi,  I have BCBS Fed here in Louisiana.  I did not have to have a psyh eval or a 6th month diet for my revision.

Do you know what insurance code your doctor used? 

I would think if it's BCBS Federal Employee Program that would be across the board no matter what state you live in.  Unfortunately, BCBS FEP Oklahoma will not cover it.......

I'm really not sure what the medical policy for Miss, but for Oklahoma BCBS Federal Employee, they are not covering the VSG.  I had to do self pay.......

I dont have the code, but I have the RNY revision, where they went in Lap and tightened my stoma.  I can see if I can find out for you.  I have not gotten any paperwork from the doc yet.

If you go to BCBS fed plan it gives you all of the requirements for the surgery.  I am in the process of finishing up for submission for approval, but I'm not sure about revisions.  Most of the time the Drs. office can tell you what is needed for approval.
