oops....I'd help just about anyone if I could.  and heck, there's enough hard stuff to go through without having to wait for just the basics.   Minnesota has good docs, and I found out, Jamie and I kinda grew up in the same area of MN.   Heck, it's just like helping family!

My insurance policy says the same thing, and it is (in my case) talking about diet pills, "diet clinics" (ex: medical shakes, supplements, those crazy "underwater weighing" things, exercise therapy, etc), and nutritionists/dieticians.

Under my policy it would literally cost more to get an 8 month supply of Meridia than it would to have the whole surgery.  My nutritionist visits or pills were never covered (I had an RNY a few yrs ago), but the actual surgeon/aftercare stuff was.

I understand that everyone's policy is very different.  And sometimes, confusing.  But for me:  IT IS JUST GREEK!!!!  HA HA HA AH

But, once I have it "all figured out"  I know it will be worth it!!!!

Did you ever find out if your insurance includes or excludes WLS revisions?

MWG, I am working on a list of "intelligent" questions to ask.  My plan is to call tomorrow afternoon, to both insurance companies.  (the 28th)  I should have answers then.

Thanks for checking back!!!!!

Jamie...

One suggestion... don't take their word for it.  When you call the ins co you get the first line of people that don't always understand... well, what they are doing. ;o)

Make them back up everything they say with links to the on line version of your medical policy.  Then you can verify with your own eyes what is factual and what is not.

They have that disclaimer on their phone lines for a reason. ;o)
