Revision duodenal ulcer?

Hello everyone,

My name is Amy.  I have not been on this website since my RNY back in March of 07'.  I had forgotten what a great resource it is!

Well, I am back but not for good reasons.  I have two Duodenal Ulcers in my pouch and am not doing very well.  I am currently on 80mg of Nexium and Carafate 4 times a day trying to heal the damage. 

What stinks is that I only had one ulcer and as of two weeks ago I have two.  I joke and say I have twins but this really isn't  a laughing matter.

I am just wondering if anyone on here has had a revision due to this?

Another interesting side note my "new" surgeon mentioned is that I have a "very large pouch" and that they do many revisions from my former surgeon.  I have gained 27 lbs from my lowest pre wedding weight in September and my new doctor says it is due to  my pouch size, my inability to really do much physical activity due to the pain in my chest and the soft foods I am eating to avoid pain. Oh, well I am here now and have to deal with what has been handed to me and not dwell on the past.

Any thoughts or experiences would be great!
