Is a revision effective???

Hi LisaAnn,

I had a revision from Classic RNY in 2001 to ERNY (extended RNY) in Oct. 2008.  I am only 11 lbs away from my personal goal of 125 and couldn't be happier.  My weight was probably a bit slower but I am ok with that.  I believe a slower loss is better for your body.  I also read an artical that one of the biggest reasons for the slower weight loss the 2nd or 3rd time around is that your metabalisim slows down during your first WLS do to the restriction of food intake.   

My only suggestion is that if you choose to go the RNY route, consider the distal or extended RNY for the greater malabsorption advantage.
