lap band to RNY in Virginia

Has anyone been successful in getting the lap band removed and an RNY performed ... In Virginia ??? I have the BCBS of the State of Virginia Insurance. 
If you have had success, then please tell how insurance covered, what was needed by insurance and who your surgeon was and what tests did he need to do.

I'm not a revision patient, and I don't know where you are in VA, but in northern VA, Dr. Elariny is a great surgeon who performs revisions.

Contact your insurance company to first make sure they don't have a WLS exclusion and, if not, find out what they require for approval and if their requirements are different for revisions.

I actually have an appt with Dr. E next week.

When I contacted my insurance they had NO guidelines for revisions only WLS.  If Dr. E. is willing to help me I understand his insurance clerk is phenominal.
