will I regain feeling? RNY to DS

Hi
I had an RNY in December 2002 and I lost all feeling in my stomach. I am waiting for OHIP to approve a DS. I am hoping to regain feeling in my stomach so I know when I am full (right now, I know it when I am about to p*k*). Has anyone else experienced this? What was the outcome?
thanks
Jen

Could you explain better.

How could you not know you are full, short of vomiting? What lack of feeling are you having in your stomach? What is it that is not happening specifically?

One can loose feeling in their stoma*****ases of say a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty. But I don't think that's what you mean.

More info please. Try to be more specific.

Thanks so much for asking instead of assuming that I enjoy eating so much. I explained below

Feeling full isn't the key to stop eating. Measuring what you eat and keeping it to 1/2 to 1 cup each meal is the key.
If you have eaten to the point of vomiting for the past 5 years, I am sure you've probably gained weight. People start out with a 1-2 oz pouch, whcih if filled to the point of puking over the years will have stretched not only the pouch but also the opening to the small intestines. So in effect, you are filling the first part of your intestines as well as the tiny stomach pouch overfull.
I hope with your revision you get what you're looking for. But if you fill your DS stomach until you feel like puking, you'll still have weight issues.
Edited for spelling.

When I had my RNY I ended up with nerve damage. When people eat they feel food in their stoma(ch)s and then they feel full. I don't. I can't feel food until it starts backing up my throat. I always feel hungry... I was hoping a revision to a DS would restore a part of my stomach that actually felt.
Thanks
