OMG Revision This Tuesday

It is coming so fast and I think I've been on auto pilot for a while. Now I keep getting nervous then excited then nervous again. All I can think about is if I'll make it then how happy I'll be...that is if I make it. I think I'm going to lose my mind. I'm so afraid of having a leak or getting an infection.

Even though I'm going crazy right now I want to encourage everyone to not give up because your time will come soon. I don't even see the people who were here to encourage me on this board anymore. They've all had their revisions and now it is finally my turn...YAY  ...I think

What type of revision are you having done?

Thank you. My surgeon is revising my rny making my pouch smaller and me a distal. They said he doubles the amount that was bypassed.

Congradulations!  Mine is on Wednesday the 14th of Jan. I was wondering how did you get your surgeon to make you a distal? My Revision is from a bleeding ulcer. I would like mine to do that as well. Any suggestions?

Good Luck to you my day is same as your's- revision 1/14/09 - roux-en y gastric open 6/02 - fistula 1/08 . Please update when you ladies return home. Would like to talk to someone who is going though same thing I am going though God Bless.

Thanks Meri. Sorry I'm just now responding, but I've been running around like crazy trying to get ready and also trying to take care of things for buying a home also (2009 is starting off great) . The surgeon making me a distal is just something that we talked about from the very beginning. I stopped losing weight 6 months after my first surgery no matter how hard I tried. If I were you I would definitely try to get in touch with your surgeon and ask them to do it. There's no need to wait if he or she has to go in anyway.
