Hi! Just wondering if anyone on here has went through the process of having a revision done with Tricare Insurance? I had RNY in Feb 2005 and got pregnant (paid a lot of money to infertility specialists that told me I couldn't get pregnant ever... want my 25K back lol) 12 months out, put on bed rest for 7 months, and just can't seem to loose any weight on my own! I have been batteling this weight gain (55lbs) for two years now! Seem to be able to eat soo much and need to find out what is wrong and then if a revision is possible. So looking for anyone who has had experience with Tricare! Thanks again!!

I have Tricare Prime Military Retired as my secondary insurance and my Dr put the paperwork through Tricare before my primary by mistake and I had approval in aweek Of course we had to do it over the right way and Tricare paid second but the Dr office here said they like Tricare because they never have a problem getting approval I had a revision to ERNY on Dec 16 and doing well Good Luck

My original surgery was a gastric by pass in 2001 and I lost about 90 lbs. I gained all of it back. My surgery had no malabsorbtive qualities so although my stomach was intact and did not appear to be stretched and I realized this when I ate things like rice or pasta or beef I still gained weight. My revision surgeon who is fabulous did a great job and since surgery I have lost 20 plus lbs. Thats in less than 3 weeks. So far so good. Time will tell but it is something I will work at for the rest of my life no matter how great any surgery is you have to commit to change also or it doesn't work.
