Band to RNY-Got My Date(s)!

Hi All,
Well this train is hurtling down the track fast...

Got approved for removal of the lap band and revision to RNY.  Removal is scheduled for Friday December 12th and RNY is scheduled for January 26th.

What's been the experience for those who've had removal done & then waited a period of time to have the RNY?  and also the experience of those who've had everything done at once?


Actually this schedule works out great for me with work obligations. 

Not sure what happens but my surgeon will do it all in one surgery. Remove the band and do the bypass.

I had my band removed on 8/20 and my RNY on 9/22.
Both surgeries went very well.  I have already lost 30 pounds since my RNY. - not the fastest loss but I am thrilled.  I am also happy not to have reflux any more.

Congratulations!I hope you are recovering well from the band removal. My doc did it all at once. The surgery itsself went great. But I had blood clots which caused a lot of problems. Im better now though and so glad I got the revision. Ive lost 52 lbs since my surgery and only have 33 more to go to be at goal!
