STOMAPHYX FOR WEIGHT GAIN

HAS ANYONE HAD A STOMAPHYX FOR WEIGHT GAIN. I AM 6YRS OUT AND GAINING SOME WEIGHT. I HAD AN ENDOSCOPY DONE AND MY  STOMA IS A LITTLE DIALATED. I WOULD LIKE ANY INFO THAT YOU CAN GIVE ME. THANKS

I had it and feel as though I could just as easily flushed the money down the toilet.  I am scheduled to have a lap band placed over my old bypass on 12/10.

WHERE DID YOU HAVE IT DONE? HOW MUCH DID IT COST YOU? IS YOUR BAND COVERED BY YOUR INSURANCE?  WHEN THEY DID THE STOMAPHYX, DID THEY MAKE THE POUCH SMALLER TOO?

I had it done 2/08 at Tufts in Boston.  It is still "experimental" so not covered by insurance.  I was originally denied by my insurance company to have a band, but I contacted [email protected]  and got approved.  When the stomaphyx was done they apparently put "9" fasteners, but I really did not have any restriction and gained the 17 lbs I lost once I started real food again.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INFO, I WISH YOU LUCK ON YOUR BAND SURGERY!! I HOPE I CAN GET SOMETHING DONE TO HELP ME.  THANKS AGAIN.

I really searched my heart and took all my issues and my family into consideration.  My husband , my son and I made the decision together.  Having been a "failure" with my original surgery, I am prepared to finally "succeed" and follow all the rules!

I had the stomaphyx.  I felt no restriction whatsoever.  I wasted thousands of dollars!!!!!
