I'm not sure that's what they meant....

A Distal RNY??

Does anyone know what that means?

Have you gained or not lost enough?

Well distal means they will bypass more intestines and you will absorb less/malabsorb more!

You really, really need to do serious research on this revision before agreeing to it.

A Distal RNY or Extended are sometimes confused but are very similar.  The Distal they refer to the amount of intestine bypassed and the Extended they refer to the common channel remaining.

For RNY, surgeons bypass different amounts. It's called proximal when it's around 50 to 100cm bypassed. Called medial for over 100cm to around 150cm bypassed, and distal anything over 150cm.
Extended is just a term used to mean a huge amount is bypassed, with malabsorption on the level with a DS.
It is spoken of in terms of common channel, the section of intestines where food and digestive juices mix.
I have a very distal, or extended RNY, and had it from the beginning. A small pouch and short common channel. I am not a revision. For me, this has been a life-saver. I maintain my weight with little effort, and feel great.
