any revisions from VBG to DS?

I'm very interested to talk with those who have made a revision from a Vertical Banded Gastroplasty to a Duodenal Switch. My VBG was 22 years ago, and I'm hoping to find a surgeon that is willing and competent enough to convert me to a DS. I've been told it's a prohibitively risky surgery and post-op, and have been offered a fairly convincing explanation as to *why.* I'd like to check the information I've been given against the information YOU were given prior to your surgery, and discuss your experiences ... both good and bad.

Hi, I am awaiting my date for surgery. I had a VBG 20 years ago. I weigh 358 lbs and i am eager to get the DS. I was recommended a surgeon from a member on this board. I will keep you posted. Jo
