Goodbye stupid lapband!

I'm having my band removed and revision to RNY all at the same time on Tuesday.   Glad to be going through only one surgery, but if my doctor had said it would be two then I would have gone with his decision.  Disappointed but I trust him. 

Glad you changed doctors though.  You have to trust and have a good feeling with the person your trusting to do this, and if you didn't feel right with what they told you then your better off elsewhere.   Even though he the new doc said to do them seperately, sounds like your more comfortable with them.

My band was removed at the same time as my DS.  However, my surgeon was very careful to make sure there were no band problems by having me do an upper-GI and an endoscopy.  He said after surgery the band was just lying there as it should, and there was no trauma to my stomach from the band.
