Easier to chew

Hi FAM,
Those who have had lap-band and revised to RNY, do you find it easier to take your time chewing and swallowing due to discipline from band? I know I have learned to eat slowly and can not eat or drink at the same time - fear of choking, gagging, and/or hiccups

I always chewed slower with the band and I still do it with my RNY. I think I actually chew slower with the RNY. I never drank with my meals with the band either and won't with this surgery. I tried it once with the band to see what would happen and it hurt like hell so I never did it again.
