not sure but my dads doc dose a revision on post RNY. so you should contact a doc. but I do know that you have to have al least 150lbs to loose to get it.

150 lbs? Are you sure?
I've read a lot of people who get revised to DS that don't need to lose 150 lbs.. I could be mistaken on this.

that is just what the doc told me. Maybe that is just his rule. not sure but the ds is designed for for people that need to loose a mass amount of weight. My dads doc is in Delano Ca and he will not do it unless you have to loose more than 150lbs. just my 2 cents

Hi- I'm getting an ERNY (had my RNY 5-1/2 years ago).  I had lost 170 lbs but have gained 50 back.  I want to lose about 90-100 lbs.  I asked the doctor about a DS but he said I don't have enough to lose - so I don't think you would be a candidate either for a DS.  Check into other revisions.  Good luck!

the requirements for a DS is a bmi of 40 or 35 with comorbids.  as to revision, it would depend on your insurance and whether or not you have medical necessity.  I would ask this over at the DS board.

Jo-Anna,

You haul your small butt back to our provincial forum!   Right now!!!!

You are doing fine with your rny and weighing 150 lbs you definitely do not qualify for a ds or any other revision.  Now smarten up and stop being so critical of your progress.

Hugs,
