Hi I'm usually a lurker.  Does anyone know if medicare pays for revisions and if so what type and what are the criteria?

I would call the doctor that does revisions in your area.  I think there office staff pretty much know if is or not and if not, how to appeal.

Medicare paid for my revision to a ERNY.

This is the story as I know it, "medicare pays for all revisions". They pretty much started the ball rollling as far as payiing and other insurance companies are following suite. I am going for a revision to a DS from RnY and medicare approved me in less than a month. Some insurnace companies are still fighting us, but we are winning the game. Criteria is the same as for first timers, BMI over 40 or BMI over 35 with at least 2 co-morbidities, same story, same act. Check out the DS.
