Insurance and Revisions
Hello everyone.
I had a lap band in 2005. I lost down to about 300 pounds from 412 but I gained back to 387.
I then had a revision to a mini gastric bypass. I have lost down to 312 pounds. After the first 7 months my weight loss stopped.
Now I want to get a revision (more bypass) so that I can lose my extra 100 pounds. My insurance company recently started covering WLS.
I am wondering if it is easier or harder to get covered for a revision then for a first time WLS patient?
Thanks
-Van
