I'm back from getting a band over my bypass!

Hello,

I am scard to call my Dr.  Do you have any advice? 

Prior to my surgery in 1998 I was at 462 pounds, at my smallest I got down to 283, however I am back up to 400.  I just got a referrel from my regular Dr. to see the surgeon.  Any advice?

Hi there!  Are you thinking of having the band put over your bypass, or a different type of revision surgery?  I think the best thing to do is to be brave & make the appointment with your surgeon!  :-)  I am sure you are not the first patient he has had that has regained weight...Unfortunately, weight regain is very common.  Do you know if your original surgeon does revisions?  Would going to a different surgeon be an option for you?  I ended up going to a new surgeon because I moved to a different state.  My first surgeon was very intimidating, and I probably would have been scared silly if I had to make a revision appointment with her!  I hope everything works out for you & please feel free to email me if you have any questions!
