Anyone had a LAPBAND and have revision to......
I just had a band to rny conversion 2 weeks ago. so far --all good.
Recovery was fine....stomach didn't hurt like with the band ....there's no port shoved in your muscles. And...can drink anytime day or night. NOt an issue like with the band. Youare not alone... I thought I was until people here at OH chimed in. email me if I can help.

I can relate to your frustrations. I was banded in March 2007 and have barely lost 51 pounds. My pre-op weight was 307 and no one ever told me that lapband isn't typcally good for those who need to lose as much weight as I do. I am very upset and frustrated. My doctor and I have been casually discussing the idea of converting to bypass from lapband, but we are still in the very beginning stages. I hope it works out for you...
