Has anyone had an open RNY and then gone to DS.  I've just never had the retriction I need... But that being said recovering from Open RNY was the hardest thing I ever did and I wont do that to myself again!

I think it depends on the amount of scar tissue and adhesions you have from previous surgeries, but call up one of the DS surgeons and ask!!  I didn't think I would have any scar tissue from my c-section 24 years ago, but during surgery on Tuesday my surgeon had to navigate around it.  When he went to the waiting room to talk to my family he pointed at my 23 year old and said "you caused the problem"  LOL - couldn't have been too big a problem, surgery only took an hour.  April in Sacramento
