Ibuprofen (Motrin)

I've just been told that I have Arthritis in my back( 2 car accidents in 7 years) and a mild form of Scoliosis. Neither Extra Strength Tylenol nor Tylenol arthritis works well for me and I don't like to keep taking the muscle relaxers because they make me really drowsy all the time. My knees and elbows are also becoming painful and stiff. I was told that since I had the RNY, I should never take the anti inflammatory meds again. Does anyone have any other ideas?

I take 800mgs Motrin every night before bed and have never had a problem, but you should probably always check with your doctor before starting anything to do with any medications including over the counter meds.

I was told by my Doc NO NSAIDS AT ALL.  He said that it could cause a bleed easy since all we have in our pouch is salva.  I have some similer pain but I take Lorab and Tramdol and a mucle relaxer.  PT will help and certain streches and strenth training.  GOOD LUCK!!!!!
