VBG to RNY revision

Hello: I had a VBG 10 years ago and now I am having it revised to an RNY.  Has anyone undergone this procedure? I am having the jitters now.  My surgery is scheduled for May 23rd.

hi! that's what I started the process for too. I had my VBG 10 years ago and am looking for a revision to RNY.  I think it's very common to have the jitters.  I've really just started the process and am nervous too. How did you VBG fail?  What kind of testing have you had? Good luck and keep us posted! I'm crossing my fingers for you that  all will go well.

hi maria...i had a vbg back in 8/98 and then had a revision to rny in 8/04 and have been at goal and actually got lower than what i wanted.. i got down to 118 and i thought i looked to thin and sick.....so i am maintaining between 120 - 130 and wearing a size 4 depends on the clothes... i see you are going with dr. ferrari.... he is in houston i am a support group leader in houston and we meet once a month in pasadena... i have 4 revisions in my group the rest are rny 1st timers and lap bands and 1 vbg who is looking into a revision and a ds..... we have a great group..... send me a pm..... email me with any questions i know your surgery is coming up soon... also there is a texas board you should post there as well great support
