Age limit on Revisions?

Hi everyone, I am waiting for OHIP approval for DS for myself, however I have a question for my mother.  She had Gastric Bypass back in about 1985 and only lost about 50 lbs then and has remained about the same since.  She wonders about having a revision done.  She wonders if anyone has had it done in Ontario and if it would still be a possibility even though she is going to be 67 this July? Thanks for any info you can share for her. Betty

Hello...I had my firsy bypass in 1983. I was 33 then and I just had my revision yhis month and I am 58. I have heard of people in their 70's having revisions if they pass the ekg and the pre-op tests. When I grew up my family used to rent about 5 cabins at a place on Rice Lake and I beleive it was called Brisbins Landing. I remember they had a lot of black squirells, which we thought was amazing because we didn't have them in Ohio where I was born. So, tell your Mom give a revision a try and good luck!
