Has anyone ever heard of having the stoma stitched surgically with a laparoscope- not endoscopically like ROSE ans Stomaphyx?

I heard of it but after decussing it with my Dr stitching the stoma doesnt always work well. My Dr is having a Clinical trial of fillinf the stoma part way with Cologen for those of us with Stoma issues. But for me he recommended the Lap over RNY to fix the problem because my stoma is that far dialated and he plans to fill it a little as well during my EGD to help with the stoma problem. Talk to your Dr and analize yourself on what kind of patient you are. I am one who did really great with the whole 1oz every hour for 10 hoursand did everything by the book so my Dr agreed to put me back to a .5-1.0 oz pouch and stoma the size of an M&M. But that isnt right for everyone. My mom is having the cologen done she has a smaller stoma issue than me and her pouch is still intact fine. Goodluck!
