stomaphx in michigan

are there any doctor in the michigan area doing the stomaphx and also will medicare pay for it.  if  you meet all the criteria

I know Dr. Pleatman in Bloomsfield is doing it.  From what I read in other posts, insurance does not cover it.  Pleatman charges $5000 total for everything. Janel

It's approved for revision of bipass patients who are regaining weight.  They go in through the mouth while you are sedated, no cutting through the skin.  The endoscopic device grabs the stomach or stoma from the inside, makes a fold and clamps it together with a polyethyline facet.  If you go up to the search bar on here and type in "stomaphyx" or "endoluminal proceedures" there are some articles.
