How do they revise rny?

Usually, they will check to see if your pouch ahs stretched or the opening to your intestines have stretched.  If so, they can tighten them back up and also bypass more of the intestines.  Also, a lap band can be placed or a switch to DS. However, if your BMI is not high enough I don't know if you would qualify.  You may want to check out www.5daypouchtest.com and see if you can get 'back on track'. Good luck,

Go to the DS Forum on this site. I just was revisied for an RNY in 2002 to the DS. Had the DS been allowed by my insurance back in 02 I wouldn't have had to have 2 WLS. I truely believe the DS is The better choice.  Good Luck
