I had RNY in 2003. Did very well, I went from 342lbs to 176lbs. In 2006 I lost My dad. (After seeing him suffer for months), this took a toll on me emotionally! I have gained back up to 276lbs., since the loss of my father. I had the Stomaphyx done about 4 years ago.I do not recomend it to anyone! It was very expensive and I did not lose a pound!!! I wish there was something else I could do to get the weight back off...... I really could use some info on any procedure that would work for me!! I do not have the money I used to have ,due to the economy and the lose of my job.. I believe I would try almost anything!!!

I felt awesome after the weight lose, wish I could have it re-done. I don't have the money for that, but it would be awesome..

I really do think that if I had Had the support I would have done better! HINDSIGHT IS 20 20.   I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK!!

ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

Any updates from folks that have had the StomaphX surgery yet?  My surgeon will start performing this procedure May 1st in Michigan.   I had my gastric bypass i***** went from 387 to 160 lbs...the last 4-5 years I have slowly put on 40 lbs.  I do not want any invasive type surgery anymore but research the statistics sounds very safe (of course from a physician standpoint that is).  I want to know the real statistics from actual patients. Thanks!

I just returned from having the Stomaphyx with Dr. Pleatman on July
10th... I've done a lot of research and from what I've read the
people who are getting results are following the dietary instructions
word for word...

I do not have any pain at all compared to my first Gastric Bypass.
Yet, I do feel a good amount of restriction with the liquid phase of
this plan. Its exactly the feeling I wanted to have...

I am following the instructions exactly because I have read about to
many people who are grumbling and complaining ... but are also eating
Hamburgers the day after their Stomaphyx..

That I just don't get... (???) What are they thinking????

Dr. Pleatman is much younger looking than his picture and I felt
confidant that he would do a good job.. His Office Staff was very
nice and the Dietician gave me so much more information than what was
available 8 years ago. The Hospital Staff at POH were all very
helpful and professional...

All in all this was a good experience... I also appreciate the fact
that Dr. Pleatman has made The Stomaphyx affordable.

I feel like I did with the first surgery minus any pain...

Now its just following directions... Day by Day...

Thanks,
:) GinaBallerina

Hi ballerina2,

I was wondering how you are doing with the Stomaphyx?  I am considering it too.  How much did it cost with Dr. Pleatman?

Regards,

Robinn
