Hello, I have a question can they revise an RNY that was too short maybe medial to a distal length. Also, my pouch was never really small even from day one. I have stopped losing but not because I am eating wrong. I just was thinking about talking to my surgeon. What test can they do to see what size my stoma is now? Thanks Loretta

Hi Loretta, Have you considered having a revision to the Duodenal Switch?  There are a lot of people over on the DS forum that have had a revision from a "failed" RNY to the DS and are doing wonderfully.  Hope you come over to the DS forum and do some lurking, some research and ask some questions. Take care and good luck with your revision journey!

You can have the new stomaphyx procedure to shrink the pouch and stoma and maybe even have small intestine lengthened if needed as well but the Stomaphyx procedure is easy with little risk.
