Can either of you tell me how much it cost for this procedure?  Did you have to pay out of pocket or did insurance cover it?  Thanks, Cheryl

My insurance covered the procedure, but there are 3 mandatory appts. with a dietician, exercise specialist and behaviorist that cost $60 ea. out of pocket...insurance doesn't cover those.  Hope this helps!  Theresa

I appreciate all the information you gave regarding this procedure. I am still; waiting to hear from the PA whether the surgeon who did my original RNY will do one of the stoma lprocedures on me. If not, I asked that he refer me to a doc who will do it and who is WLS friendly.

I was told total out of pocket expense (including the three appointments for $60 each) would be around $700-$800.  I'll believe it after I get the bill--I trust no one in medical billing unless I know them personally.  I've been burned before. Deeno
