I am seriously considering having a revision from my lapband to RNY. I have been getting some negative feedback and I've read some pretty scary info online. Anyone have any positive info or feedback? Has anyone on the board been revised from the lapband to RNY?

I had RNY about three years ago, and now I’m researching the Duodenal Switch (that is why I’m on this site) as a corrective method.  I’ve gained back most of the hundred pounds I lost and am always hungry.  Plus I had some other health issues that the surgery made worse, contrary to my doctor’s assurances.  Everything I’m reading and hearing suggests that the Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch is the way to go.  I would not do the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass again.  I know a number of people who have had to get the RNY redone.

Keep doing your research, but I would encourage you to do the Duodenal Switch.

I hope this helps a little, and good luck.
