Questions about Reversal

I had the mini gastric bypass 6 years ago and I've regained most of my weight. I'm considering having my procedure completely reversed back to what it was prior to surgery. I have no medical problems and I am wondering if anyone knows if insurance will pay for this? I have federal Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

I had a VBG to an RYN with Blue Cross Blue Sheild PPO and they paid.

Unfortunately, insurance won't always pay for this sort of thing...most cases where I've seen them pay is where the patient is dying. The bigger problem is finding a surgeon who will actually do it,especially if you're not at death's door (and even then it's hard to find reversal surgeons). Nancy
