Lap Band vs. RNY

I'm getting ready to convert from a Lap-Band (5 years) to a VSG (Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy). I really think this is the operation of the future for most bariatric patients. I revised to the Duodenal Switch after 3 years with the band. I am extremely happy with my choice.

Gm all I am also in the process of converting from the band to RNY. Waiting for insurance to ok this. I had good weight loss at first with the band but my body was rejecting the port and even got an infection. Am hoping I have made the right decision. Dawn.
