we need fruit and veggies and some starches because starches give us our energy, and greek yogurt is a great source of protein same with beans... and oatmeal... may I ask where you got this list? Or is this a list of food you cannot tolerate, I'm still learning as well...
we made the quest bar cookies. Kids were happy and I stayed in beast mode!!

Do high fat foods cause dumping, too?
I prefer the health benefits of a low carb lifestyle, but I do have fat in my diet (it's more important than most people think). Even with the fat, my calories are very low. Trust me when I say that the fat is not making me fat...
I just want to be sure that I can still consume the healthy fats post op (more importantly for the rest of my life). Our brains are dying from the low fat lifestyle that they pushed through the 80s.
I can't really have "sugar free" food, because I refuse all types of sugar substitutes other than stevia. I rarely eat any processed food.
However I do have dental problems (always had very weak teeth). I'm concerned that I will end up on a liquid diet because I have chewing problems and softer foods are generally higher carb foods. When I'm having a lot of pain is when I end up eating some sort of processed carb (because it's soft) or a portion of potatoes. Will these be off the list forever?
FYI: I follow an almost completely paleo diet. I'm considering the surgery because after months of every diet out there, I have ceased to lose any weight. I have no problem following a strict diet. I've dieted myself into a loss of metabolism. My nutritionist, and docs have thrown their hands up. This surgery is supposed to jumpstart the metabolism. That's where I'm at...
Still waiting on insurance approval, but hoping to have it done very soon.
Can some please give me the recipe? I have been looking for it.
I've never heard of either of those products. Where do you live, and do you think there would be any in Cincinnati? I can't stand the thought of drinking another shake or eating yogurt. I need high protein substitutes but I'm on the chopped food portion (5 weeks post-surgery) of the diet. I could stand something that tastes like real sugar about now! Thanks!!
