I just started experimenting with the quinoa...I use it in recipes where I used to use rice...I use it to make cabbage rolls and goulash...I make all sorts of things with it :)

Topic: RE: Under 100 calorie brownie (from the Dr. Oz show)
Looks yummy! I have a recipe from months ago that also used the black beans...interesting to see how these turn out! The other recipe called for raspberry as well.

Thanks for posting, Coco!

 Rocco DiSpirito's recipe

15oz black beans (soft, not the dry kind) into a food processor for 2 mins or until they're smooth)
1/4 C unsweetened cocoa power
1 tsp. expresso powder
3 TBL whole wheat pastry flour
3/4 C egg beaters
3/4 C agave nectar
1 TBL unsalted butter
1 tsp. vanilla

process for another minute then pour into a 8 x 8 baking dish and bake @ 350 degrees for 20 mins then turn down to 300 degrees for another 5 mins.

Topic: The Most Amazing Cake in 5 Min.

If you have never been over to The World According to Eggface you are really missing alot of information.
http://www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/

She has a bunch of recipe for her 5 minute cake that is AWESOME! When you are trying out her recipes don't forget that she is at the maintenance stage so there might be a few changes that will make it a bit easier for us in the earlier stages. Below is the first cake of hers I ever made with a couple of changes.

Shelly's Apple Cinnamon Protein Cake

1/4 cup Eggbeaters (Shelly uses 1 egg)
3 Tablespoons Milk
2 Tablespoons Sugar Free Caramel Torani Syrup
2 Tablespoons No Sugar Added Applesauce
1 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil (Shelly uses 2T oil)
3 Tablespoons Multigrain Pancake Mix ( I used Red Mill)
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon Walnuts chopped (Shelly uses pecans)
1 Tablespoon Raisins
1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (I used Muscle Milk Light)
Pinch salt

In a measuring cup or microwave safe mug, mix egg, milk, syrup, applesauce and oil and combine thoroughly. In a separate bowl, mix pancake mix, cinnamon, nuts, raisins, protein powder and salt. Tip dry into wet and stir till combined. Nuke in microwave for about 2 minutes. Let it sit for three or so minutes (it pulls away from the sides) before tipping the cake onto a plate. Yields 4 slices.

I garnished with Sugar Free Cool Whip and a little cinnamon. Awesome hot or cold.

Topic: RE: I need recipe ideas for ground turkey
I have a receipe for ground turkey burgers that adds tomato sauce to add moisture.  I think it also has some bread crumbs to hold it together.

I use ground turkey for saucy dishes like sloppy joes and taco filling.

Our grocery has prepackaged sloppy joe mix where you add tomato paste - this keeps the sugar down.

For tacos I use a mix or just a can of enchilada sauce.

I eat mine on a low carb tortilla or arnold thin.

Topic: RE: Egg Rolls?
I make spring rolls using rice paper wrappers.  They are not the same as egg rolls but you can stuff them with the same kinds of things (I like cabbage, carrots, cilantro, bean sprouts) and still have a dipping sauce (I like soy/rice vinegar and a dash of seasame oil) and get the same effect.

They can be pretty filling so I try to put some protein in with the veggies.  Shrimp would work but I like chicken or turkey.
