quinoa is a grain..I substitute it wherever I would have used rice...It's pretty versatile and full of protein..I find it at the local grocery, Kroger's, Central Market, Market Street, even Wal Mart carries it now...here are some of the recipes I posted earlier with it.

this recipe is so easy..I love it..I make a new batch every couple of days and there are so many combinations I never get bored with it

Hi Erica.....I buy mine at Marcs! Less than $2 for the mix and they are so good. I tried making homemade ones many times and they turned out so bad that my dog would smell them and run. I couldn't even get her to eat one! So, I was happy to find these brownies!!

I figured I may be able to tweek my old recipe by using applesauce instead of oil, splenda blend instead of sugar, and whole wheat flour......what do you think?
