I have to season mine quite a bit and make some tartar sauce too. But I grill talapia after putting lots of Mrs. dash and some paprika on it. It only takes about 7 min on the grill and its perfect.

Topic: Great Low Carb Recipes

Here are two recipes of my own that I think are very bariatric friendly and everyone loves (seriously I have never had one person say they didn't love these:

http://www.mybigfatfoodie.com/latin-5-bean-salad-or-as-i-lik e-to-call-it-cinco/

This one is certainly low carb, but has fat in it. Maybe try with reduced fat mayo and some leaner meats anyway, this also is a crowd pleaser.

Topic: RE: sweetners for people alergic to aspartame, splenda equal and n sweet n low
i hope you find some answers and find some sweetner products you  an use. Just be careful, not all products out there marketed as natural are actually natural, like agave nectar. most agave nectars have higher fructose levels than artificial sweetners. agave nectar is a highly processed sweetner and is actually bad for you.
fructose in most processed foods is actually concentrated fructose. fructose as we know it is actually not from fruits, it is actually man made. the fructose that naturally occurs in in fruits/plants is called levulose. they may all fall under fructose, but they are not the same thing. do not fall for the whole sugar is sugar propaganda. because believe me the body can tell the difference. do your research and i wish u the best.

Check out www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com and look up her recipe for "bites". She has several varieties, great instructions and they are WLS friendly. No oil used

Since this isn't my recipe I had to get addl info from my friend. This is what she said:

"it kind of depends on what you're putting in the muffins. With just sausage and spinach, I use 9-10 eggs, a couple tablespoons of olive oil and a couple tablespoons of water when I beat the eggs. If you use broccoli/onions/etc, you'll possibly use less. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes -- until the eggs are set."

I gather by her response that it's just sort of free form. You can add sausage, or bacon, plus any other ingredients you like. I think some cheese would be great too....but you could add some pico de gallo for a spicier version if you can tolerate it. I think the options are pretty endless, depending on your own likes and dislikes.  Hope the addl info is helpful.

What are the ingredients (measurements too)?  How long do you bake them and at what temperature?  Thank you.

Topic: yummy treat!! for thanksgiving
Ok I am in LOVE with this!!

I take a container of vanilla greek yogurt
add a few tablespoons of canned pumpkin (good source of fiber)
and a little sprinkle of splenda brown sugar (you can omit this)
and a sprinkle of cinnamon....
Mix and BINGO.....tastes like pumpkin pie!!

I just love this....feels like I am eating a "guilty treat" and with thanksgiving coming up I can have "pumpkin pie" too!!

I love, love parmesan crusted tilapia. I get the indivual wrapped tilapia, rinse and broil on each side for 3 mins. i spray foil with some pam to help it from sticking. I mix parmesan, butter, mayo and onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and basil. after i broil the fish on each side then i cover it with the cheese mix and broil for 3-5 more minutes until it looks more opaque on the edges.

good luck! :)
