PUREE CHICKEN ------------- 1 chicken skinned and disjointed 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (16 oz.) can tomato puree 1 green pepper 1/2 c. oil 1 tsp. red pepper Salt to season Black pepper to season Cut chicken into desirable pieces. Put in a saucepan; pour tablespoon of sauce and tablespoon of puree. Add oil, red pepper, salt, and black pepper. Cut green pepper into small pieces (2 inches long, 1/2 inch thick) and add to the mixture. Simmer for an hour. See if chicken is done. If not, let it cook more. But if it is done, make sure the mixture is the consistency of the cream of mushroom soup. these are some things you can have Remember - all foods eaten at this stage should be pureed or of the pureed consistency. Does Not Need to Be Pureed Yogurt Broth SF Jello Cream of Wheat Hummus Malt O'Meal Instant Mashed Potatoes Protein Shakes SF Instant Pudding SF Popsicles SF Fudgesicles SF Carnation Instant Breakfast Applesauce (esp. good with a little LF plain yogurt) Refried Beans (Old El Paso is the creamiest brand) LF Corned Beef Hash (doesn't need to be pureed, since the meat is already finely ground - just mash the potato part) Ricotta cheese with a spoon full of spaghetti sauce on top

You can puree anything, my mom made a roast in the crock pot with a little onion, little garlic, and carrots she let it cook to pieces and kept LOTS of water in it so it would make lots of broth then she pureed it in the food processor..it was sooooooooooooo yummy...and the whole family could eat it..She got some of those little glad bowls and froze it for me so I could just pop it in the microwave..She also did that with beef tip soup. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.. Kacy D. RNY 8-30-05 338-228-132
