"French Fries"

I saw this on the hungry-girl website and decided to try it. Peel and slice a butternut squash into french fry wedges. Put on baking sheet and spray with Pam. I seasoned mine with Lite Salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Bake at 400 until crispy. Eat with ketchup. They taste just like french fries. Maybe better. The only thing is the squash is so hard to slice. I got a workout from slicing it. But it's worth the effort. Lynette

Well, I just was at the grocery store and bought a butternut squash. I am going to try your suggestion, it sounds good. I will let you know if I have the same problem with cutting the squash. I have some really good Cutco knives; hopefully they will help make the task easier.

to make cutting easier try putting it in the microwane for about 45 seconds. It makes cutting nice. Don't forget to poke it a few times before nuing it
