My WLS has me cooking, and cooking, and cooking more.  I find that I now lust for certain items to help me in preparation of all the wonderful recipes and other food...and storage of the spices/additives.  My list is:

  1. Spiralizer...got it!
  2. Family size George Foreman w/removable grill plates...got it!  I even went a bit farther, got the Evolve.
  3. Food dehydrator
  4. Foodsaver.  I think I have a Seal-a-Meal stored somewhere, I just don't know where or if I can still buy bags for the 40 year old dinasaur.
  5. Door mounted spice/food rack.  I found one that will also accommodate my Torani syrups.  I have acquired so many more spices and herbs since my surgery, that my cabinet is full...got it!
  6. Small size chest deep freezer...got it!

I'm in GA. We only use our on occasion when we don't want to grill outside. But thrift stores have them all the time. I bet you could pick up one there for a good price. Or a yard sale!

Great list, I love kitchen gadgets, probably a little too much! I think my favorite kitchen additions since surgery have been the Instant Pot and then mini muffin and loaf pans. We also use our dehydrator fairly regularly!

I purchased a spiralizer yesterday and used it for the first time tonight to prepare my dinner (zucchini spaghetti).  In 3 words I will summarize how I feel about my new spiralizer...I LOVE IT!  I bought the Farberware Spiraletti.

My zucchini spaghetti was good for my first time, but there's room for improvement.  My next attempt I will follow a recipe.  I made my own low sugar spaghetti sauce.  It was good.  I bought Adelli's Italian Chicken Meatballs.  OMG, they were delicious and healthy.  I also added fresh white mushroom pieces.

I have an old seal-a-meal too. You can use the same bags as the foodsaver.... yes the outsides have gotten fancier, but it is the same technology- that hasn't changed.

WooHoo...my wish list is slowly but surely dwindling down.  I purchased my much wanted chest freezer and it's due to be delivered on Monday (4/4).  I got a great deal at Sam's Club, on sale at $40 off.  I bought the Haier 7.1 cu ft chest deep freezer for only $149 including tax.  I decided to buy it online so it could/will be delivered to my home (free shipping).
